On the other end, there’s the one-man businesses who replace auto glass from the back of their truck for cheap, but use cheap glass that isn’t up to industry standards. Repair or Replacement?
One of the most common questions we get asked is this: do I need a repair or a replacement? Safety is our number one priority, and we would never recommend a repair if it meant putting our customers in potentially dangerous situations. Additionally, it’s against our values as a company to recommend a repair, knowing that the customer would have to come back within a few weeks or months when the repair inevitably and ultimately requires a replacement. Because of this, we only repair chips or cracks that are equal to or smaller than the size of a quarter. We can safely fill in these cracks, preventing the damage from spreading and making the windshield like-new. However, if the chip or crack is larger than the size of a quarter, we recommend a replacement in order to ensure both the customer’s safety as well as satisfaction!
